The tyres that you choose for your car or van will vary very much depending on the type of driving that you do.

At Shaikly EV Specialists, we can advise you on which tyres would be best for you depending on if you do mostly urban driving, if you want a quieter tyre for extensive motorway driving, or perhaps you have a van which you use for transporting or towing heavy equipment – all with very different tyre requirements.

While you can use the same kind of tyres you’d use on a standard car on your EV or hybrid, EV drivers can benefit from using EV-specific tyres. Due to the weight of the traction battery, EVs are heavier than equivalent ICE cars, so tyres developed to take that weight – with stronger rubber compounds and construction – can last longer than standard tyres.
