How do I know when my tyres need replacing?

Tyres should be replaced when tread depth is low, wear is uneven, or there is visible damage such as cracks, bulges or cuts. If you’re unsure, we can carry out a tyre inspection and advise.

Do EVs need different tyres to standard vehicles?

Often, yes. EVs typically require tyres with higher load ratings and lower noise ratings due to battery weight and drivetrain characteristics. We ensure the correct specification tyres are fitted for each EV model.

Should I replace tyres in pairs or all four at once?

Tyres are normally replaced in pairs across the same axle to maintain balanced handling. All four may need replacing if wear levels are similar or if the tyres are aged.

Can worn tyres affect wheel alignment and suspension?

Worn tyres don’t usually cause alignment issues, but poor alignment will rapidly wear tyres. If we see abnormal wear patterns, we may recommend a wheel alignment check.
