Shaikly EV Specialists are proud to be the newest arm in the Shaikly Motor Company family, joining a successful family business that has been providing drivers in and around Colchester with quality vehicle repairs and servicing since 1977.

Over the last few years, we’ve seen a significant growth in demand for specialist EV and hybrid servicing and repairs. As we already had mechanics qualified to work on electric vehicles and were offering some EV and hybrid repairs at both our workshops in Colchester, it seemed the natural next step to establish a workshop entirely dedicated to electric and hybrid vehicle repairs and servicing. Here, we can focus on providing specialist servicing and repairs (rivalling those of the main dealers in both quality and price) for EV and hybrid drivers in the Colchester area.

EV Expertise at Shaikly EV Specialists

At Shaikly, we’ve always placed great importance on keeping our team up to date with industry developments and regular training has been part of the way we work. As such, our team have undertaken training at the IMI (Institute of the Motor Industry) to become qualified in working on electric vehicles. Several of our team have already attained Level 4 which is the highest level, and the rest are at Levels 2 and 3, working towards Level 4. You will be hard-pressed to find any other garage in the Colchester area with the expertise and experience that we can offer here at Shaikly EV Specialists.

We’re pleased to be affiliated with HEVRA (The Hybrid and Electric Vehicle Repair Alliance) which is a nationwide network of the best independent EV repair and service workshops. We underwent comprehensive checks in order to become members of HEVRA, to ensure that we have the appropriate training, equipment and tools to work safely and effectively on electric and hybrid vehicles.

What we do at Shaikly EV Specialists

We provide all the repairs and services that you’ll need for your electric or hybrid vehicle – any engine repairs required for your hybrid vehicle will be carried out at our main service workshop next door to the EV workshop. We provide a very high standard of work and ensure that manufacturer repair and service requirements are adhered to so that there’s no loss of warranty coverage on your vehicle.
